The Opposition is maintaining pressure on the Western Australian Government to address the shortage of nurses in the regions. Figures released by Health Minister Jim McGinty show the mid-west shires of Northampton, Mullewa and Three Springs are each short of two nurses.

The Western Australian Government has confirmed the Ravensthorpe Hospital, in the south, will have to scale back its hours of operation due to a serious shortage of nurses. From December 10, the hospital will only open between 8:00am AWDT and 8:00pm.
