Saowalak Chalk (37), from Bangkok, will graduate with a BA in Adult Nursing at 10.30am on Friday 7 December and will be the first Thai national to graduate from RGU’s School of Nursing and Midwifery. In Thailand Saowalak managed both an office and then a restaurant before moving to Aberdeen with her husband fourteen years ago when he secured a position at Fujitsu Services.   Saowalak furthered her education in hospitality management at Aberdeen College and worked in this sector for sometime running her own business in catering and importing Thai groceries.
