The Western Australian Government has confirmed the Ravensthorpe Hospital, in the south, will have to scale back its hours of operation due to a serious shortage of nurses. From December 10, the hospital will only open between 8:00am AWDT and 8:00pm. 

Health Minister Jim McGinty says the department has been unable to recruit enough nurses to operate the hospital around-the-clock, but says staff will be on-call after hours in case of emergency. Read more…
