NOMINATIONS for Basingstoke hospital’s top nursing staff are being called for by the foundation trust’s bosses.Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust’s annual Director of Nursing Awards have been launched for 2008.Now patients and visitors are being asked to vote for individual nurses and midwives, or a nursing or midwifery team, who have impressed them.A special award, to highlight outstanding care, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Basingstoke Deane, will also be presented at the ceremony on July 17.“I would like to encourage members of the public to be involved by nominating a nurse/midwife or nursing/ midwifery team who, in their eyes, really merit this acknowledgement.” Read more
