A nurse accused of dragging an elderly man across the floor after he fell out of bed and cut his head open has been struck off for snoozing on duty.
Winifred Tlhobogang, 61, was alleged to have failed to check the pensioner for injuries as blood poured from a gaping wound at the Merafield View Nursing Home in Plympton.
She was cleared by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of failing to protect the resident’s welfare, but was found guilty of sleeping on duty and falsifying records.
