The nurses have been occupying the hospital’s conference room for three days now, demanding rises to the amount of 700 zlotys ( 200 euros) to their net salaries. After they had rejected a 500-zloty rise and a 10% bonus, the head of the hospital handed in his resignation, but it was not accepted by the authorities of the Zachodniopomorskie province. There are over 55 nurses and midwives working in the Koszalin hospital. Their salaries range from 1200 to 1600 zlotys (roughly 350 to 450 euros). Read more
