NURSES who set up a video link so patients in Pwllheli could be diagnosed by consultants in Ysbyty Gwynedd have been honoured at a conference in Bangor.

The team from Ysbyty Bryn Beryl developed a number of initiatives to help reduce waiting times, cut patients’ journey times and speed up diagnosis.

Their new telemedicine facility allows clinical practitioners treating patients in the Minor Injury Unit in Pwllheli to seek advice from consultants via a video conference link to Ysbyty Gwynedd – saving some patients a round trip of 60 miles. Read more
